March birthday celebration
Happy birthday to all our March celebrants, whether you were with us at our celebration in body or in spirit. We will not hold a Zoom call next Sunday, but will schedule a new call at the end of April. We did decide to try and have a quarterly celebration, with the next scheduled gathering June 3-4 or 10-11. Any preferences? We also synchronized vacation calendars, so here's on the schedule (which means we will try to avoid setting a Naleway event. Martin A Naleway Martin A. Naleway III 2/2/1958 - 6/5/2022 Jun 14, 2022 10:00 PM Marty was born on February 2, 1958 in Chicago, Illinois. He passed on June 5, 2022 at his home in Auburn, after a short illness. Marty was a happy, upbeat soul, who lived life on his own terms and was loved by everyone who knew him. He graduated from Sac State and proudly spent 30 years with UPS before retirement. He was a car guy and was particularly proud of his vintage vehicles. Nothing made him happier than jumping into his 1985 UPS-colored VW Westie with his family and his beloved puppies for a quick camping trip to Bodega Bay. He loved sports, including basketball and football, and enjoyed kayaking locally. He was musically inclined, and loved playing his guitars. Marty and his wife moved to Auburn many years ago, and he loved his community. After retirement, he volunteered with various local food organizations, most recently the Auburn Interfaith Food Closet.
