The next installment of our beloved clan gatherings will be to celebrate Marty's  29th  and Lauren's 17th Birthdays.  Poor Micky Lou is still uber pregnant and unable to travel.   Let's see if we can skype with her during the traditional harmonic birthday serenade! Hello beloved Naleway Clan!  Not sure if you read today's Sacramento Bee today, but there is an article front and center in the Business section highlighting the company "Quest."   This is the company that our own Stefanie has worked for many years when she relocated from Concord back to Sacramento.  Interestingly, when she was first looking for a new job all those years ago, she made a cold call to Quest for any job openings.....and the rest is history!  She has risen as a big honchi-honch of their IT shop, so this is very cool.  While the article is directed at the company itself and its cutting-edge success, it warms my heart to know Steffi has played an important role there for many years now!  Not only this, but Ryan is working there too, so how awesome is that? I had a couple of recipe requests for one of the appetizers, so here goes: Apricot-Gorgonzola Crescent Appetizers prep time 10 min     total time 40 minutes     serves 12 Ingredients 1 can (8 oz) Pillsbury refrigerated crescent dinner rolls or 1 can (8 oz) Pillsbury Crescent Recipe Creations refrigerated seamless dough sheet 1/4 cup apricot preserves ( I used mango, so neener neener ) 2 tablespoons butter 1/2 cup (2 oz) crumbled Gorgonzola cheese ( I used a brie/blue cheese mixture ) 1/2 chopped pecans 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray large cookie sheet with no-stick cooking spray. If using crescent rolls: unroll dough, place on cookie sheet. Firmly press perforations to seal. Press dough into 13x9 inch rectangle. Place preserves and butter in microwave safe bowl; microwave on high about 30 seconds or until butter is melted. Spread preserves mixture evenly over dough. Top evenly with cheese and pecans.
