Apricot-Gorgonzola Crescent Appetizers
prep time 10 min total time 40 minutes serves 12
Ingredients
- 1 can (8 oz) Pillsbury refrigerated crescent dinner rolls or 1 can (8 oz) Pillsbury Crescent Recipe Creations refrigerated seamless dough sheet
- 1/4 cup apricot preserves (I used mango, so neener neener)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup (2 oz) crumbled Gorgonzola cheese (I used a brie/blue cheese mixture)
- 1/2 chopped pecans
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
- Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray large cookie sheet with no-stick cooking spray.
- If using crescent rolls: unroll dough, place on cookie sheet. Firmly press perforations to seal. Press dough into 13x9 inch rectangle.
- Place preserves and butter in microwave safe bowl; microwave on high about 30 seconds or until butter is melted. Spread preserves mixture evenly over dough. Top evenly with cheese and pecans. Sprinkle with pepper.
- Bake 13 to 19 minutes or until crust is deep golden brown. Cool 10 minutes. Cut into 12 squares (I cut into 24 rectangles to make enough to go around.)
